For almost 25 years, Jerry Nigro has been dedicated to working with high net worth individuals and their families. As Founding Partner, Senior Wealth Advisor at Claybrook, he brings a holistic wealth management approach to his clients incorporating the areas of retirement planning, balance sheet and cash flow management, investment planning, tax optimization strategies, education funding, estate and philanthropy planning. He has developed an expertise in using options strategies to help produce additional income and manage risk across portfolios as well.
Before forming Claybrook Capital, Jerry was a Managing Director and Investment Advisor at Robertson Stephens Advisors. He also spent seven years at UBS, where he was a Senior Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager. Previously, he worked at Goldman Sachs for eight years and began his career at Merrill Lynch.
Jerry holds a BS in Family Financial Management from The Ohio State University. He and his wife enjoy spending time with their children. They also “enjoy the mountains, beaches and woods of America.” Mr. Nigro plays and coaches lacrosse. He has worked with many charities, including The Mission Continues, Wounded Warrior Project and Montauk Hook and Slice.
Bruce is a Co-Founder and Board of Advisor at Claybrook. He provides strategic business direction, M & A growth strategies, and oversees all real estate activities. He has over 25 years of experience in roles as a Family Office Executive, Advisor, Strategist, Practice Management Operator, Real Estate Investments, Direct Investments and Board Member Experience. Bruce is also the Founder of BSCA Solutions, LLC. A management consulting and strategy firm focusing on strategy, practice management, real estate, operational efficiency, profitability and direct investments to entrepreneurs, multi-family offices, single family offices, entrepreneurs and CEO’s. Bruce is Member and Board of Advisor of TruView BSI, LLC. TruView is the nexus where the most modern technologies in background screening, investigations, and business intelligence meet expert human analysis.
Previously, Bruce was a Partner and Head of Real Estate Investments at We Family Offices with over $10.0 billion of assets under advisement. As a member of the strategic investment and implementation committee, he oversaw the firm’s real estate activities, including sourcing real estate funds, structuring potential direct joint ventures, and working with the firm’s clients.
Additionally, Bruce was a Partner and President of the New York Office at Genspring Family Offices, a multi-family office with over $20 billion of assets. During his tenure, Genspring became one of the world’s foremost multifamily offices, ranked #1 RIA by Forbes in 2011. Bruce built and managed the New York practice from start up to raising $2.5B of client AUA with 39% profit margins. He led all aspects of the business including family investment advisor and client acquisition; wealth and financial planning services, investment management; operations and technology. Bruce was a member of the firm’s implementation and portfolio tilt committees. His prior experience in asset management included positions as COO at Orion Capital Management, Co-Founder and Portfolio Manager at Ardent Fund Management and Co-Head Trader at Standard and Poor’s.
Bruce has been a Board Member of the family-owned Unity International Group, one of the top 20 electrical and data construction firms in the U.S., since 2003. He served on the Executive Committee providing insight and expertise in business strategy, real estate, corporate, financial and investment capital planning. A strategic sale to Engie Corp. one of the largest global energy and services groups in the world, closed in May 2018.
Bruce holds a Bachelor of Science degree in finance & economics from LIU Post University. Bruce completed the Executive Education in Family Wealth Program at Columbia University Business School. Bruce is an associate member of the Urban Land Institute. Mr. Arella currently holds the series 66 license. Additionally, Mr. Arella is an international Okinawan Martial Arts Union Award recipient and Martial Arts Instructor.
Virginia has been working with ultra-high net worth individuals for over a decade. She assists clients with administrative and operational needs ranging from financial planning and reporting to cash management.
Prior to joining Robertson Stephens, Virginia worked as a Senior Registered Client Service Associate for UBS Private Wealth Management in Boston focusing on Client Concierge Services and Client Operations. Prior to UBS, she worked in client services in the Morgan Stanley Boston office. She began her career in the financial services industry at New England Pension Consultants.
Virginia holds a BA in Psychology from the University of Massachusetts-Boston. In her free time she enjoys traveling with her husband and playing with her dog, Lily.
